What is logged on every visit
For each request to this site we store, in a private database:
- the date and time of the visit;
- your IP address (used to derive a country code and to distinguish unique visitors);
- the country code derived from your IP address;
- the user-agent string your browser sends;
- the page URL you requested and, if available, the referring URL.
We use this information solely to understand how many people visit this site and where they come from. The data is not sold, transferred to third-party advertising networks, or used to build a behavioural profile.
Newsletter subscription
If you submit your email address through the subscription form, it is stored in the same database alongside the visit record. We use it only to send occasional updates from this site. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any message we send.
External requests
For country lookup we briefly query ip-api.com with your IP address. We do not embed third-party trackers, advertising scripts, or fonts. The page does not set any cookies.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To do so, contact the address listed on the imprint page.
